Student Graduation & Recognition Ceremony Canceled

The Student Graduation & Recognition Ceremony originally scheduled for June 19th has been canceled. However, we have so many fabulous students, we still want to acknowledge them for their perseverance and hard work. Students will be recognized for their achievements during their regular class times. We have GED students who attained their GED diplomas, literacy students who have advanced several grade levels, ESL students who have achieved English proficiency, and Nurse Aide students who have earned their CNA license and become valuable team members at area nursing facilities. We are proud of each and every one of our students and know that the skills they attain here at the Employment Skills Center will help them get better jobs, advance their education, and improve their quality of life. To all our students we say, WELL DONE!

Thank you!

Race Start

Despite the cool drizzly weather, we had a great turnout for the 3rd annual Carlisle Downtown Mile. This race would not have been possible without the generous support of all our sponsors (see the complete list here). Special thanks to our premiere sponsor, Carlisle Construction Materials. We also want to thank the Carlisle Police Department, Carlisle Borough, PennDOT, and Carlisle Borough residents and businesses for their assistance and cooperation on race day. Thank you to Appalachian Running Company for hosting our bag pickup and registration the day before the race. Many thanks to Abom & Kutulakis for the use of their space for the post-race celebration and to Deibler Insurance for donating the beer for our thirsty runners. Thank you to all the vendors and donors for making the post-race party fun for the participants. Thank you once again to all the volunteers and committee members for their hard work. Most of all, we want to thank every individual who participated in the race. Your generosity and support will help the Employment Skills Center continue to provide life-changing adult education programs for our community.
