Employment Skills Center has partnered with Carlisle’s Elm Street Program to offer a free basic carpentry training. The program is designed to provide opportunities for young men and women of color as part of Carlisle’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative. Participants will attend Employment Skills Training at Employment Skills Center on Saturday August 22 and 29 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Students will then attend hands-on carpentry training with CodyZ Academy on Saturday September 12, 19, & 26 and October 3 & 10 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Participants will build raised planters at Heberlig Palmer Park as their culminating project. Lunch will be provided all 7 days of the program.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get skills and contribute to the community. Do you know a young person (aged 18 to 27) who would benefit? Visit or call us with any questions and to start the application process. Let’s build the future, together! Click here to view our flyer!
