The 5th annual Carlisle Downtown Mile was a great success! This race would not have been possible without the generous support of all our sponsors (see the complete list here). Special thanks to our premiere sponsor, Carlisle Regional Medical Center. We also want to thank the Carlisle Police Department, Carlisle Borough, PennDOT, and Carlisle Borough residents and businesses for their assistance and cooperation on race day. Thank you to Appalachian Running Company for hosting our bag pickup and registration the day before the race. Special thanks to Subway Car Wash for donating their space for race registration! Thank you to Orrstown Bank, JFC and all the vendors and donors for making the post-race party fun for the participants. Thank you once again to all the volunteers and committee members for your hard work. Most of all, we want to thank every individual who participated in the race. Your generosity and support will help the Employment Skills Center continue to provide life-changing adult education programs for our community.
Race results can be viewed here. Thank you to Drew Halton for the fantastic race day photos!
Now is the perfect time to make a new or increased donation to Employment Skills Center! If we can raise $22,500 in new or increased donations by the end of 2016, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) will give Employment Skills Center $7,500 in matching funds. Here’s how it works:
If you would like to make your gift by check, please make it payable to Employment Skills Center and mail it or drop it off at 29 South Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013. Contributions are tax-deductible [501(c)(3) non-profit status].
