Our GED Program
Our GED® class prepares adults without a high school diploma to take the GED® (General Educational Development) tests. The GED® is a group of subject tests that covers the core academic areas of a high school curriculum. It is the only nationally recognized high school equivalency credential. We provide lessons in Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Instruction is tailored to meet individual student needs. We have helped hundreds of students pass their GED® tests and move on to better jobs and higher education. View our GED brochure here.
ESC Class Schedule:
Our class meets at the Employment Skills Center on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Individual and small group tutoring is available.
Off-site GED class:
We partner with Carlisle Area School District to offer Fall and Spring sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Carlisle High School. Check the CASD website for updated information on enrollment and scheduling: http://www.carlisleschools.org/departments.cfm?subpage=350366
GED 2014® is here!

The new 2014 GED® test is administered on computer only. We provide computer practice as part of our GED curriculum to ensure all students are comfortable with the new computer based test format.

The passing score has moved from 150 to 145 for all four GED® test subjects! This score change is effective immediately, even though it won’t be reflected in your myGED® score report until the system is updated on March 1, 2016. Just know that if you score 145 or higher, you passed!
- This score change is retroactive. If you took the new GED® test in the past and scored 145 or higher, you have now PASSED that test. Log into GED.com on March 1, 2016 to see your updated record!
- In addition, beginning March 1, 2016, the Social Studies test will no longer include an extended response. The time for this test will decrease from 90 to 75 minutes.
