Tutors: Employment Skills Center is in need of dedicated volunteers to tutor adult students one-on-one in the areas of Basic Literacy, Math, GED preparation, and English as a Second Language. Volunteers are required to complete a 6-hour orientation and training session at ESC plus 4 hours of continuing education per program year.  After completing all training, volunteers are asked to commit to 1.5 hours twice a week or 3 hours once a week.  No prior experience is required, but volunteers must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or currently be pursuing one in accordance with PA Department of Education guidelines. Classroom Aides: Volunteers are needed to offer assistance to classroom instructors and provide one-on-one assistance with students. Volunteers are required to complete a 6-hour orientation and training session at ESC plus 4 hours of continuing education per program year. Fundraising Event Committee Members: Help is needed with a variety of tasks to assist in the planning, selling, and delivery of fundraising projects. Examples of tasks include sale of ads and tickets, solicitation of gifts and vendors, set up of events, planning, scheduling, coordinating, etc.
