It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of longtime ESC Board member, Jerry Eby. Jerry has been a member of our Board of Directors for the past 18 years and more recently has served as Board Vice President. Jerry was a friend to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and working alongside him. He was a wealth of knowledge and a staunch supporter of education, which was evident in his decades of service and involvement on the CASD School Board, the ESC Board, and the Buck a Book Literacy Campaign Committee. Jerry had a special talent for making genuine connections and ensuring that those in need were able to access and receive the services that they needed most.

Employment Skills Center owes Jerry a great deal of gratitude for his dedication to furthering our mission and increasing awareness for adult education services in our community. We will continue to honor him through our work and our service to the Carlisle community and beyond.

Employment Skills Center will be establishing the Jerry Eby Memorial Fund for all donations received in his name. This fund will help support students who wish to enroll in training programs at ESC, as well as student scholarships and books for elementary school students who participate in the annual Buck a Book Literacy Campaign.

Jerry’s commitment to adult education was unfailing; however, it’s his smile and his presence that will be missed the most. His passing has left a hole in the hearts of all of us at ESC, on the Board, and in the community. He will be deeply missed.
