David and Yasaman were the recipients of the 2018 Julie McKain Memorial Scholarship Award. This award was established in honor of our dear friend and colleague, Julie McKain. Julie was a valued member of our volunteer team and had a true passion for giving back to the community. She cared deeply for our students and truly believed in our mission, and with this scholarship we are hoping to impact the lives of students in a way that would make her proud.

In choosing candidates for this award, academic achievement, dedication, classroom participation and attendance, teamwork, commitment to reaching goals, and post-graduate achievements are considered. Both David (GED) and Yasaman (ESL) are outstanding students and are very deserving of recognition for their hard work and dedication to achieving their personal and career goals.
