Employment Skills Center Receives Donation from St. John’s Youth Investment Club

June 10, 2024Community

Earlier this month, ESC was honored to receive a generous donation of $3,500 from the Youth Investment Club of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Members of the Youth Investment Club donate a percentage of their profits each year to select local nonprofits. ESC is grateful to be one of two nonprofits chosen to receive these funds.

This donation will be used for three student scholarships for our Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training this summer. The Summer EMT Academy is offered in partnership with Cumberland Goodwill EMS. Students who successfully complete the course and pass their exams will earn a Pennsylvania and National Registry Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, making them eligible to work as an EMT within the commonwealth or in 48 states. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in a career in the medical field, which fills a critical need in our workforce.

Thank you, St. John’s!
