Part-time ESL Program Manager
A part-time program manager is needed to provide oversight of ESL programs for a community-based adult education provider.
Key responsibilities include oversight of program and instructors, case management, student support, and guidance for classroom management, curriculum development, and instruction in the following content areas: English language acquisition, literacy, civics, and workforce preparedness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, counseling, liberal arts, or related field. Teaching certification, TESOL, or TEFL certifications are preferred, but not required.

ESL Program Management
- Oversee program and instructors
- Conduct intakes, orientations and exits with students
- Administer assessment tests for proper classroom placement and track hours for post-tests (Best Plus, Best Literacy, CASAS)
- Establish student goals, identify and address barriers, and provide case management/student support
- Observe classes and conduct regular meetings with instructors
- Manage enrollment/attendance data to meet contract numbers
- Provide monthly program updates/reports
- Provide guidance and participate in curriculum development and lesson planning with program instructors
- Substitute teach as needed
Administrative Duties
- Address general phone calls and visitor inquiries
- Assist with miscellaneous projects and office duties as needed
Professional Development
- Attend staff meetings, program improvement team meetings, and participate in professional development and training opportunities as required
This position is approximately 15-20 hours per week. Flexible schedule and paid holidays. Criminal, FBI, and Child Abuse background checks will be required for employment.

Part-time Volunteer Coordinator
A reliable, efficient volunteer coordinator is needed to recruit volunteers and provide program outreach for an adult education agency. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Education/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of office experience, preferably in non-profit/volunteer management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Resourceful, creative, and flexible
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with diverse groups of staff, volunteers, students and other members of the community
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, train and supervise volunteer tutors, classroom aides, and interns
- Work closely with program managers and instructors to determine placement of volunteers
- Conduct new tutor orientations, tutor pairing meetings and annual tutor trainings
- Track attendance and monitor tutor sessions and student progress through monthly tutor reports
- Provide professional development opportunities and resources for volunteers
- Prepare and proofread correspondence as needed
- Organize and participate in volunteer events – to include annual volunteer appreciation activities, community partner events, resource tables, etc.
- Work with program staff to create engaging social media content and marketing materials
- Attend community outreach events to share program information and recruit volunteers
- Assist with planning & preparation of fundraising activities as needed
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required
The position is part-time, approximately 5-10 hours per week. Flexible schedule, hybrid option available. Criminal background check and Child Abuse History clearance will be required for employment.
